"Each fitness instructor has the responsibility to use and prescribe a variety of exercise options that take into account the specific needs and medical considerations of each member ensuring that each workout program delivers a safe, effective and time efficient result for each individual member. The social aspect of the gym is also really important to us and we try to organise a night out every month or so, so that everyone gets to know each other," says Regina Greenan of Energie Fitness.

Despite the name, the candles are in fact hollow tubes made in the traditional Hopi Indian way of combining herbal extracts and then blending them with bee's wax, honey and organically grown linen. The candles work in three phrases. A chimney effect is created and a gentle suction draws out debris from the ear while mild heat stimulates the blood and lymph circulation, which boosts the immune system and regulates pressure within the sinuses. The treatments are carried out in specially designed treatment suites with a calming feel that is a world away from the high tempo of the gym.
