Dear Editor, The children left behind them homes which continue to suffer from the aftermath of the Chernobyl explosion of 1986. They spent a wonderful month in Galway, where they enjoyed so many new experiences. They were warmly welcomed into the homes of the volunteer host families, and also enjoyed several outings supported by local businesses. The very fact that we were able to bring them here was only made possible by the generosity of the Galway people, who continually supported our fundraising efforts throughout the year. To all these people, too numerous to mention individually, I offer the sincerest of thanks, on behalf of myself, my Committee and on behalf of the little children who are now all safely back home with their wonderful memories of Galway and its people to treasure for ever. Míle Buíochas. Be assured we could not do what we are doing without you.
