Dear Editor,
The Making Galway Proud Initiative would like to thank the people and businesses of Galway who have made their 2007 campaign for Speech & Occupational Therapy for Downs Syndrome Galway group 'Voices For Galway'. Although there is three more events left in the campaign, the initiative have been overwhelmed yet again by the support of the people of Galway.

First of all, we would like to thank Galway's local media and their photographers who highlighted the cause throughout the year. It is so, so appreciated and without the media, the job we try to do would not be as successful without them. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We would also like to thank the people who helped with Hair Today Gone Tomorrow and Caríosa's Walk, which both proved to be great fundraisers and highlighted the cause in unique ways. Special thanks to John McGuire of Fat Tony's Barbers, Síle Mannion of Calista Beauty in Claregalway, Barry Kelly and O'Dolan Auctioneers, all the sponsors who contributed to these events and all the generous people of Galway who contributed to these two events. Thanks to Galway Vintners, John Hardiman, Colm Murphy of Elementink, Roy Gibson of Advertees, the pubs of Galway and our Woo Woo girls for all their help on the Woo Woo Nights. To all who attended and helped in anyway with the 4th Annual making Galway Proud Ball, we would like to thank you all for your help in endorsing another very worthy local cause.

Finally, thank you to Patrick Brennan of Snap Printing and Mike Fitz of Bullet Design, who have been a huge part of our campaign yet again. Thank you so much. In the coming weeks, Encore Theatre Company and the Renmore Pantomime will be assisting us in raising much needed funding and awareness. Please try and support their efforts and our thanks goes out to these two theatrical groups for their help. Our final project will be a very special and unique one, titled 'The Journey'. It is hoped that this project will be seen on the national stage.

Take a bow Galway; you have helped to make Galway proud yet again.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh,
The Making Galway Proud Committee
