Political changes in Galway E-mail

Dear Editor,
The demise of the PDs, both nationally and subsequently in Galway, will be welcomed by most right-thinking and decent people.

These political nuances were a serious handicap to our communities and altruistic organisations that play a key role in our society.

No other grassroots in any political party would welcome these ex-PDs. No matter what colour they dress up as, their perverted background is good enough reason to confine them to the sewer pits.

I will be proposing that well known PD members have their membership terminated of Trade Union Committees and other city boards.

Galway will have a great opportunity in next year's local elections to carry my wishes to completion by rejecting any leftovers from the PD political baggage.

Thank God something good happens in Galway every so often.

Is mise le meas,
Jim Cotter,
8 Monivea Park,
Ballybane,
Galway
