Dear Editor,
I wonder if any of your readers can help me find the last resting place of my mother, Sarah Anne Behan.

She was born in Kildare in 1907 but she may have lived for part of her life in co. Clare. I know that from 1947 she lived in Epsom but I do not know when she first came to England. She died in Epsom in 1988.

It was her last wish to be buried in her home county and I have found out that her casket was flown to Knock airport in May 1988 for burial. While I believe my mother had links with County Clare. It is possible she was interred anywhere within a practicable distance from Knock, so her grave may well be in Mayo, Galway, Sligo or possibly even further afield.

I am told her remains were claimed by someone called Peter, who may have been Sarah's brother or cousin. This Peter (Behan?) was accomplished by a lady with the surname Dempsey, who may have been another relative.

If anyone has any information on this, could they contact me on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or you can leave a voice message on +442380-890354 or +447946-860128.

Yours faithfully, Michael Hanson
