Green footprint E-mail

Dear Editor,
As well as allowing the United States' planes carrying troops on their way to Iraq stop off at Shannon, there is a definite and visible footprint in the skies all over Ireland.

One is the carbon footprint caused by the hundred of these planes weekly coming and going over Ireland to a war in Iraq. Nearly five million refugees from this war are in neighbouring countries because of this illegal invasion of Iraq by Blair and Bush.

Will the Green Party members of government be able to reduce the streaking white jet skylines all over Ireland? Last year, the United Kingdom medical journal 'The Lancet' estimated that 655,000 Iraqis have died since 2003.

Will the Green Party help reduce the Iraqi print of death all over Ireland!

Yours sincerely,
Peter Kennedy,
