Dear Editor,
I refer to the call by Councillor Terry O'Flaherty to have ten houses in Ballybane demolished on the basis that they are boarded up and subject to vandalism.

I would remind the councillor that there are far more than ten houses in this condition in Ballybane. It is a pity that she would not take a walk around the area, communicate with the people and inform herself of the true situation rather than seeking publicity from part of the problem.
