Dear Editor,

As a fellow swing dancer, I was really pleased to see the article in the latest issue of the Galway Independent. It captured the swing scene and the fun we all have perfectly.

I used to watch the dancers convinced that I could never move like that - now I only regret the time I spent deciding whether or not I should give it a try. I have only been dancing a few months but I am already firmly hooked and have forgotten that I used to have two left feet.

Swing, as the article pointed out, is hard to describe, but the piece had my toe tapping just reading it. Thanks to Galway Swing I am more confident, have found new friends and no longer dread the dance floor. It deserves all the praise we can throw at it!
