Sherry FitzGerald Lettings are holding a Residential Rental Seminar next Wednesday 31 May to bring clarity to a raft of new Residential Landlord and Tenant legislative changes.
Rent Pressure Zones, Rent Certainty Measures, changes to Part 4 tenancies, with these recent changes many landlords have little or no knowledge, or often anecdotal inaccurate information.
On 26 January 2017 Housing Minister Simon Coveney, designated Galway City Centre along with Galway East and West as Rent Pressure Zones (RPZ) for a period of three years which, among other changes, brings restrictions to levels that rents can be increased annually, to include formulae in how rent increases can be applied. In addition, the Government, in December 2015, introduced Rent Certainty Measures which apply minimum tenancy terms and changes to notice periods.
The aim of the seminar is to provide information and clarity in how these changes apply, are to be implemented and what landlords need to be aware of when letting their residential property.
Sherry FitzGerald Lettings have invited Jannette Fogarty, Assistant Director of the Residential Tenancies Board, to present on the night as well as a presentation from Linda McCallion, Head of Sherry FitzGerald Lettings, Galway.
Residential property landlords are invited to attend but have to pre-register by emailing galway@sherryfitz.ie or contact their office on 091-569123. The seminar will be held at 7pm on 31 May in The Connacht Hotel.
