A Galway car dealership, which was forced to close abruptly last week, has now reopened.
Brian Kenny of Kenny Galway issued a statement last Wednesday morning stating that his business on the Tuam Road was going into receivership “after 25 years of successful trading”.
“Property loans were transferred to a vulture company, Sancatti, and they have appointed a receiver, Grant Thornton,” he stated, adding, “we would like to thank all our suppliers, customers and most sincerely our loyal staff for their service over the years.”
However, following the appointment of an interim examiner by Ms Justice Marie Baker, who determined the firm has a good chance of surviving once certain conditions are met, the business has now reopened.
Brian Kenny said he was delighted that the dealership has reopened for business at its current location, thanking “his loyal staff, customers, suppliers and friends for their support and good wishes.”
