Most days, we style our hair in either an up or down style; hair tied up can often mean it’s thrown up and perhaps on day two (unwashed) and not looking its best, hair down means it’s glossy and ready to be swished around!
After many hairstyles, colours and up/down styles, I have finally settled on long hair and keeping it as close to my natural tones as possible.
The length and colour of your hair can fundamentally change your entire look. I never really realised this until last week, when I was fortunate enough to get the ultimate plait in my tresses! I am obsessed with plaits, or the braid as our friends in the USA would call them. They are just so lovely, they remind me of being younger and automatically give you a feeling that you are heading to Coachella! I go through days of loving my hair up, then down, then half up…I think you get the picture!
This plaited look is by those beauts at Yourells who threw it in for me. This plait made me feel like J-Lo in 2001, banging out ‘My Love Don’t Cost A Thing’, so the green bomber, a silk trouser and some gold hoops were almost mandatory, I was in fact Jennifer!
A little change in hairstyle and it’s funny how people react. Everyone loved it and I loved the way it framed my face.
Sometimes it doesn’t have to be an expensive dress, bag or coat that can help alter our look but just changing your hairstyle up a little can give you a new lease of life.
