Gosh shoes are launching their new Scrappage Scheme in conjunction with Galway Simon tomorrow, Thursday, from 6pm to 9pm in their store in Eyre Square Shopping Centre.
Customers who attend on the evening will be offered 20 per cent off any pair of shoes when they return an old pair, which will then be donated to Galway Simon Community. Gosh is also offering one lucky customer the chance to win a gift voucher on the night.
The launch is the start of an ongoing scheme between Gosh and homelessness charity Galway Simon offering customers ten per cent off a new pair of shoes when they bring back a pair of their once-loved shoes and there will be an extra ten per cent off on the night of the launch.
“This is a great way to encourage people to clear out their old shoes and buy a new brand new pair at a discount – but more importantly they are donating them to a worthy cause,” said manager Orla McFadden.
“In the run-up to Christmas our services are more in demand than any other time of year. We continue to rely on the support of the community in helping us to raise funds for these vital services and look forward an ongoing relationship with Gosh,” said Hazel Hendy, Community Fundraiser for Galway Simon.
