Accident repair specialist Frank Byrne’s Autobody Repairs, based in Galway’s Oranmore Business Park, has been named ‘Bodyshop of the Year’ at the fourth SIMI Irish Motor Industry Awards. This is the second time that Frank Byrne’s Autobody Repairs has come away from the awards with the gold medal, having also won the award in 2012.
The awards honour those businesses that have demonstrated excellence and best practise in the face of extremely challenging economic conditions. Frank Byrne’s Autobody Repairs picked up one of only five awards at the ceremony, which was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel last month.
Mr Paul Linders, President of the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI), attended a celebration evening at Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs Bodyshop in Oranmore last week, along with other key figures from the insurance and motoring industries.
Commenting on the award win, Mr Linders said the award was recognition of how Frank Byrne’s Autobody Repairs was “continuously refining standards and processes, optimising the customer experience and implementing a sustainable, strategic management plan”.
Mr Linders also launched the company’s new website, www.frankbyrnes.com on the night.
The awards are backed by the SIMI, the official voice of the motor industry in Ireland, and in partnership with Castrol, the specialist lubricants and business improvement solutions provider.
“We are delighted to have received the award for the second time. Its credit to the fantastic team that I work with and the experience they provide to our valued customers,” commented Mr Byrne.
