A grant of €106,818 has been approved by Dinny McGinley, Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht for Comhar Chuigéil in Lettermullen, to build a new sewerage system on the co-op’s property.
Announcing the grant, Minister of State McGinley said that the facilities in Lettermullen are extremely important for the local community. He said that he was delighted to provide this grant to the co-op because of the difficulties they have had with the sewerage system.
“The community themselves, pre-school education, the Irish colleges, and community development all depend on these facilities and I hope that when this work is completed they will have first-rate facilities,” said the Minister of State.
“This is a strong Gaeltacht area and this funding shows that the Department is continuing with the support necessary to implement the 20 Year Strategy for Irish.”
