Mephisto Theatre Company is to hold a rehearsed reading of 'Wrecked', a new play by Patrick Hynes that it is currently developing.

'Wrecked' tells the story of five young men from the West, modern boys with their roots firmly in a ground, which is still very much in the past.

They have to get to Castlefort but they get lost on the way. What results is a tour of the Western World where they'll eat pookies from the Mother Earth, toke on some dubes and get caught up in the front line of Iraq.

But friends are like rocks tied to your hocks; they'll drag you down with them when you're trying to swim. The question is: do you cut them loose? These boys are about to find out.

The rehearsed reading takes place on Tuesday 22 April in Tigh Neactains, Quay Street at 11.30am.
