One of Ireland's most exciting live acts, Walter Mitty and The Realists return to the Róisín Dubh this Friday, 1 August at 9pm. ![]() The Galway/Limerick based foursome, who formed in late 2006, are rapidly becoming one of Ireland's best-known live acts. This is in no small measure due to their electric and manic live performances, combined with songs, which are "gems", according to Hotpress Magazine's Jackie Hayden, in a review of their recent show with Dirty Pretty Things. They are currently working on their debut album with 'The Cranberries' drummer Fergal Lawler behind the studio desk on engineering and co-production duties. As well as recent headline shows at this year's 'Unfringed Festival', 'Riverfest' and 'Great Friday Festival', they will appear this summer at Cois Farraige Festival, featuring the likes of Supergrass, The Zutons and Travis. They will also appear with the seven other bands selected for the Indie Week Ireland Showcase, (organised by Indie Week Canada, who bring their popular indie week extravaganza to Ireland for the first time this July). Admission to this gig is free. |
