Siobhán O'Brien will play in The Crane Bar tomorrow, Thursday 22 May at 9pm. O'Brien, who is from Limerick, has been entertaining audiences with her individual, unique voice and style of song writing her whole life, literally. Siobhán comes from four generations in the music industry. Most notably, she is the niece of 60s legend, Brendan Bowyer. She made her first audio recording at the tender age of six, with an old Burl Ives sea shanty. Siobhán has been described as "caressing a lyric with sophisticated simplicity." She has an untouched voice and has been compared to Joan Baez, Sarah McLaughlin and Sheryl Crow. In addition to Bob Dylan inviting her to join him on stage, she has supported groups and acts such as Henry McCullough, Donavan, Christy Moore, The Cranberries, Maria McKee, Sharon Shannon and Mick Flannery. Tickets, €10, are available from The Crane Bar on Sea Road. |
