'Transitions', the first solo exhibition of oil paintings by Elaine Conneely, will go on show in the Marina Room of the Connemara Coast Hotel, Furbo, on Monday 24 March.
Elaine, who grew up near the sea on Long Island, New York, has been living on Connemara's shores for the past 12 years. She has exhibited in group shows in Galway and Spiddal, and has done extensive commissioned works. Her lifetime intimacy with sea and shore is evident in her paintings, which depict human figures set against the rich and rugged backdrop of Connemara. Children also feature prominently in her work.
