The Town Hall Theatre has just released their programme of events for the coming months, with something for young and old and for lovers of everything from comedy to pop music and from film to theatre and much, much more.

Music wise, the next few months feature shows from Irish acts as diverse as Imelda May (pictured), Fuaim na gCuinneagain, Luka Bloom, The Mulkerrin Brothers, Noelie McDonnell and Wallis Bird through to international acts such as Hal Ketchum, Steve Earle (who plays on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 November), Rebecca Storm and the Harlem Gospel Choir.

On top of all this, there is also Handel's 'Ancina' by the Opera Theatre Company and the Music for Galway 29th International Concert Season that promises seven wonderful shows of the finest classical from now until December in the Town Hall, Aula Maxima and St Nicholas' Collegiate Church.

Theatre is, of course, very well catered for from now until the new year and there are again productions from the finest local national and international theatre companies to look forward to in the coming months.

The second Galway Theatre Festival - declared one of the highlights of 2008 by The Irish Times Culture supplement - runs from Tuesday 20 to Saturday 24 October and promises as full a programme as last year's inaugural festival. Outside of that, there are adaptations of classics from WB Yeats and Shakespeare to look forward to as well as new productions from up and coming companies such as Croí Productions.

On the comedy front, there is the Galway Comedy Festival, featuring a fine line-up of top national and international comics, to look forward to over the October Bank Holiday weekend as well as shows from Jon Kenny (11 and 12 November) and Katherine Lynch (27 and 28 November).

There's much festive spirit in the air at Christmas time, from the Christmas Film 'White Christmas' on Sunday 6 December to plays and musicals like 'A Viennese Christmas', 'A Wish For Santa' and Renmore's Panto 'Mother Goose' over the festive season.

You can pick up the season's schedule at the Town Hall or all info on the upcoming events at the Town Hall Theatre can be downloaded from www.tht.ie.
