Funky tunes have been the order of the day every Thursday night in The Skeff for almost two years now where original resident DJ, Rory Newell has been joined lately by Alan O'Malley. The lads play a slick mix of sweet beats and vocal house that perfectly accompanies the large cocktail menu, with the good grooves going from 9pm to 12am every week. Their Top 10, in no particular order, is…

1: Audio Soul Project – 'Community' (Fishgodeep vocal mix) – (NRK)
Wicked spoken word house mixed by Ireland's finest, Greg & Shane.

2: Tarantulas feat Monique Bingham - 'They forgot it' - (Om Records)
Deep vocal tune from San Fran label.

3: Rocco – 'Thursday Night Friday Morning' – (Buzzin Fly)
Man of the moment Rocco drops a bomb on Ben Watt's label.

4: Quentin Harris – 'Let's be young' (Paolo Mojo Mix) – (NRK)
Big, big vocal!

5: Spirit Catcher – 'Motown Spring' – (2020 Vision)
Cool spacey cosmic synths on this techy late night house track.

6: Jazzloungerz feat Rainy Payne - 'Obsession' (Seamless)
Essex crew Jazzloungers put out one of the best vocal cuts in a while from the UK.

7: Kentphonik – 'Hiya Kaya' (Rocco Deep Mix) – (Stalwart Records)
Heard P Disconaut play this recently at The Cellar, it sounds HEAVY on a big system. Watch out for other forthcoming releases from Rocco.

8: Quentin Harris – Can't Stop - (Strictly Rhythm)
Coming soon on Strictly, from Quentin's debut album 'No Politics'. Real nice choice of mixes from Joey Negro and Groove Assassin.

9: Nufrequency feat. Shara Nelson - Go That Deep (NRK Music)
Charles Webster remix is the one for me on this dope package from the ever-reliable NRK.

10: Fishgodeep feat Tracey K - Battery Man (Go Deep)
Loved the original from their 'Lil Hand' album, but new dub mix edges it for me. Will surely be played at Electric Picnic during their Friday night set!!
