The fourth annual Tedfest comes Galway, as well as the Aran Islands, in March, with Dominick Street the place to see The Toilet Duck awards show, a Fr Ted Table Quiz and a night of stand up comedy from some of stars of the Fr Ted series. ![]() The next night, Tuesday 2 March, sees 16 of Ireland's funniest up and coming comedians go man to man in a comedic war of wits in the Roisin Dubh to walk away with the Tedfest Toilet Duck Award 2010. The event kicks off 9pm sharp and admission is €5. On Wednesday 3 March at the Laughter Lounge, there's a welcome Galway return for two of Father Ted's favourite characters in stand-up mode when Pat McDonnell (sickly sweet television presenter and pop singer Eoin McLove) and Joe Rooney (Fr Damo) take to the stage. There's even a First Annual Galway Lovely Girls Competition to round off proceedings. To apply, all you have to do is to write 100 words in an e-mail saying why you are a lovely girl.
