David McSavage will headline the Laughter Lounge at the Róisín Dubh tonight, Wednesday 24 October. ![]() David McSavage is a guitar strumming comedy genius, and that's official. The comic equivalent of dynamite fishing, his school bully routine insults one and all. The blistering invective is accompanied by an angry, embittered Irishman shtick, as he tells us why life is the way it is, lays into various nationalities and sings songs about doing odd things to pigeons. But as controversial as he is, there is no bias or discrimination in his act. Dave is most definitely NOT for the prudish, and many people won't stomach his random, vicious blasts at the entire world. But for most, what he offers is funny as well as unique. Dubliner Fred Cooke and Keith Farnan from RTE's Liffey Laughs will join David on the night. Matthew Collins fills in on the open mike spot for the evening. Tickets, €12.50, are available from the Róisín Dubh. Doors open at 9pm. |
