A 20-something slacker, part-time drug dealer and part-time fireman, an old friend and an old flame are just some of the characters in a new production that comes to the Town Hall later this month.

'Tape' by Stephen Belber is the latest offering from Fregoli, a young theatre company that is quickly cementing its reputation as one of the most exciting, innovative, energetic theatre groups to come out of Galway in years.

Set in real time in a seedy hotel room, we first meet Vince (Ronan McMahon) a 20 something slacker, part time drug dealer and part time fireman, who is awaiting a visit from his old school friend John (Shane McDermott) who is in town for the premiere of his small time film.

This should be a happy reunion of friendship, but Vince has other plans for the evening. What transpires is an hour of tough questions, some answers and an old flame of both - Amy (Lucia Smyth) whose appearance and attitude are not what one might expect.

'Tape' runs in the Town Hall Theatre Studio from Monday 16 to Saturday 21 June.

Tickets, €10/€8, are available from 091-569777.
