Page 1 of 2 The Spirit of Voice song and spoken word festival returns on Thursday 8 November and will run until Sunday 11 November at various venues around Galway City. The festival will feature many musical highlights with Orbsen Choir, Conor OTuama and Under Construction at the launch event in the Western Hotel on Prospect Hill on Thursday 8 November at 9pm. A celebrate of intercultural voices will take place on Friday 9 November in the Rowing Club at 9pm. This evening of soul, roots and grooves features artists Mfa Kera, Erik Eckhart, Galway Gospel Choir, Brendan Murphy, Marty Mulligan and Frank Hossfeld. Admission to this event is €10. Spirit will give concert goers the occasion to celebrate the traditional Irish language through rhythm melody and voice on Saturday 10 November in The Crane Bar at 6pm. The evening will feature R?n?n ? Snodaigh, Seamus Fay, Mupeid Nan, Tom Taimin and Orlaith Ni Mheachair. Admission is €15/€12.50. A massive selection of singers, poets, writers, soprano and rap will come together on Sunday 11 November in Club Aras Na nGael at 8.30pm. Gearoid Maclochlainn, Linda Coogan, Kevin Higgins, Jeanette Mokoena, Merriam Dike and Sebi C are just some of the artists that will feature during the evening. Admission is €10.
