Singer/songwriter Shane MacGowan has just been added to the line up for the Sharon Shannon and Mundy Galway Show, which will take place at Leisureland on Saturday 29 December. With the recent Irish hit 'Galway Girl' performed by both Mundy and Sharon, this promises to be one night not to be missed over the festive period. Sharon recently undertook a very successful Irish tour with a Big Band including special guests Dessie O'Halloran, Mundy and Jon Kenny. The audience response was incredible and the show received standing ovations everywhere and included a rousing set on the main stage at this year's Oxegen Festival. Mundy is one of Ireland's leading singer/songwriters over the past ten years. His 'Live & Confusion' CD/DVD perfectly captures the much-loved singer and his band at the peak of their powers. With such classics as 'July' and 'Mexico' penned by the Co. Offaly native and live set that has been honed at over 100 gigs over the last two years, his set promises to be unmissable. Shane MacGowen has been one of the most influential figures in song writing since the mid 1980s and has penned some classic songs down through the years, such as 'A Rainy Night in Soho', 'A Pair of Brown Eyes' and, of course, that all time classic 'Fairytale of New York'. Tickets, €33.50, are available from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide. Doors open at 8pm on the night. There will be a full bar service in the venue on the night. |
