Following the success of its original run in Galway, The Blue Pig Theatre Company is again staging 'Shakers Re Stirred' with performances in the Town Hall Studio from Monday 1 to Saturday 6 December, followed by a national tour early in the New Year.

Shakers Re-stirred, embodies many of the best features of Godbers previous work. The story unfolds at pace, in a series of incidents during which a multitude of seemingly unconnected characters make their way to 'Shakers, Cocktail Bar', the ubiquitous place to be seen and focal point of the action.

Godber and Thorntons script transforms the minor events that occur in the course of an ordinary night out into a show that combines snappy dialogue and incisive observation in a way which is both hilarious and uncomfortably easy to recognise. By the show's conclusion, the four waitresses emerge as real and very different individuals thrown together in the shared experience of the wine bar.

Requiring rapid changes of character and tight ensemble work, this revival for the Blue Pig Theatre Company draws the very best from some of Galway's finest young actors.

Under the direction of Ruth Shortt, Jasmin Finn, Candice Melton, Anna Mullarkey and Angela Ryan play the four waitresses as well as a host of supporting characters ranging from plum voiced culture vultures to testosterone laced rugger buggers.

Bookings for the performances in the Town Hall Studio performances can be made at the Town Hall box office on 091-569777.
