As part of Rag Week at NUIG, The Saw Doctors will play two concerts in the College Bar this weekend. The show on Sunday is sold out, however, tickets, which are priced at €10, are still available for Saturday 17 February. The Saw Doctors will debut a number of new songs at the two NUIG gigs, including 'Ivana in the Brogue', which the lads sang on The Late Late show on Friday 2 February. The song is about a Tuam sham that falls for the beautiful Polish barmaid. The Saw Doctors will play a nationwide college/university tour in February, beginning in Waterford IT then moving to Sligo IT, Athlone IT, Maynooth, Cork and Limerick universities. In March the Saw Doctors will play a two-week US tour, including a New York show at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square on Saturday 10 March. This summer, The Saw Doctors will play Glastonbury Festival in England on Saturday 23 June, headlining the Avalon stage. Tickets for the NUIG gig are available from Redlight Records and the Students' Union, NUIG. The Saturday concert is open to everybody and is not restricted to the students of the university. |
