As part of the Galway Arts Festival this year, Austin-based theatre collective The Rude Mechanicals (aka Rude Mechs) debuts a strip-to-stage adaptation of David Rees's clip-art comic 'Get Your War On'.

This historical docudrama presentation wings the audience through the last half-decade, from those heady days of angst and anthrax in October 2001 to the execution-on-YouTube of the present. 'Get Your War On' represents stunned and outraged Americans as they react to 9/11, the Bush administration, and its 'totally awesome' War On Terror.

It has been described as is the most original cartoons to emerge since...well, ever. Rolling Stone Magazine said it was 'raw, enraged, sardonic, hilarious, despairing and impossible to pigeonhole'.

Get Your War On will run at The Town Hall Theatre from Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 July. Tickets, ?15/?12, are available on 091-569777. Doors open at 10.30pm.
