Internationally acclaimed roots musicians Clive Barnes (Ireland) and Jeff Lang (Australia) combine forces this July for an eight-date tour around Ireland. They will take to the Crane bar stage tonight, Wednesday 16 July at 9pm.

Clive Barnes is a familiar face on the roots music circuit and, over the last few years, has been steadily gaining a worldwide reputation as one of the finest lap slide and regular acoustic guitarists/songwriters on today's scene.

With four critically acclaimed albums released to date; 'Shine', 'Welcome To Farewell', 'Goldtooth Cinnamon' and live-album 'Live At The Spirit Store', Barnes' studio work has brought him much success in the United States, with 'Welcome to Farewell' winning Acoustic Guitar Magazine's (USA) 'Album of the Year Award 2002'.

More recently, he can be heard on Eric Bibb's latest musical offering 'Get On Board', playing alongside nine-time Grammy Award-winning blues singer-songwriter, Bonnie Raitt. Clive's talents as a guitarist have been employed by some of the most respected musicians working today, from Grammy-winning songwriter Jim Lauderdale to Nashville bluegrass flat picking legend Steve Kaufman.

Australian based musician Jeff Lang has earned international acclaim as a virtuosic guitarist, a dynamic songwriter and a 'startlingly unique' live performer. Jeff has a back catalogue of 13 studio albums and has featured at major festivals and venues internationally for the past decade.

Blending rock, roots, folk, blues, ballads, instrumentals, improvisations and a devastatingly high level of musicality, Jeff Lang is a singularly unique performer in our world.

Over the past ten years, he has built an international reputation and loyal fan base with constant touring in the US, Europe and Australia. He is a favourite on the festival circuit and has enjoyed national airplay, rave reviews, multiple ARIA nominations and the respect of his peers around the world, touring with the likes of Bob Dylan, Ani Di Franco, Dr John, Loudon Wainwright III and countless others.

Tickets, €15 are available from the Crane Bar on Sea Road.
