For this year's Emily Anderson Memorial Concert, Music for Galway and NUI, Galway have invited the Young Associate Artists of Opera Theatre Company to put together a programme of most loved operatic scenes by Mozart.

The event is taking place on Friday 22 February in the Aula Maxima NUI, Galway at 8pm and is devoted to Mozart's music, as they celebrate Emily Anderson.

Emily was a remarkable Galway scholar, who made a name for herself in the English speaking music community all over the world for translating the complete correspondence by Mozart and Beethoven into English. She was not just Galway born, but as daughter of the then President of the college, she grew up right within the walls of where the concert is taking place – the Old Quadrangle that also holds the Aula Maxima of NUI Galway.

Tickets, €18/€14/€5, are available from Music for Galway. Phone 091-705962 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or Opus II, Augustine Street.
