PREDA documentary to be screened tomorrow E-mail

Galway Support Group PREDA, which was set up to help support the work of PREDA based in the Philippines, will premiere their documentary tomorrow at the Galway Film Fleadh.

Members of their group have made a thought provoking and inspiring documentary titled ‘Power of a Voice’ detailing the support given by Damien Dempsey to PREDA. As well as highlighting the problems facing PREDA, the film highlights how the fight against various malevolent forms of servitude and abuse against women is being won thanks to a committed PREDA team in the Philippines but also through such local action.

The documentary will be screened at 10am on Thursday 10 July. Tickets are €6.50 and can be purchased through www.galwayfilmfleadh.com.
