SHOW: Mother Goose - Town Hall Theatre - 6 – 17 January
Renmore Panto has been putting on Christmas shows for longer than many of us remember and this, their 31st panto, has all the ingredients of a great day/night out for all ages. The ancient tale is updated with corrupt politicians and bankers, so go get your golden eggs.
COMEDY: Jason Byrne - Laughter Lounge - Wed 13 January
The manic Mr Byrne drops into the Róisín Dubh for an intimate show. One of the most popular comedians in the UK and here, Byrne thrills audiences wherever he goes with his madcap antics. Support comes from fellow Dublin messers Eric Lalor and MC Paddy Courtney. Tunes from Monty after til late.
CLUB: Gigantic - Kellys - Sat 9 January
January isn’t a month known for big nights out; most people tend to stay in and nurse the post Christmas blues. But, if you’re going to go out and break the tedium, then you'll want to go somewhere where you can let loose and jump around to the best contemporary and classic indie and dance tunes. Gigantic it is then!
GIG: Mick Flannery - Roisin Dubh - Sat 9 January
Since coming into the nation's consciousness with his wonderful words and instantly recognizable gravelly tones, Mick Flannery has cemented himself as one of the finest songwriters and singers we've produced in years. The quiet Corkman returns to Galway after his sold-out December show.
