Pick of the Litter is a vibrant six-piece traditional Irish music group. With members hailing from Dublin, Laois, Leitrim, Donegal and Cork, this new band fuse their rich, diverse musical backgrounds to create a fresh sound.

Their exploration of the tradition is unique in the way they incorporate aspects from other musical genres, giving Pick of the Litter their distinctive edge.

Pick of the Litter's first concert in Galway takes place in áras na nGael, Dominick St, Galway on Saturday 19 July.

Special guest Róisín Ní Gallóglaigh will support pick of the Litter on the night, a Galway based singer-songwriter who will play a selection of her own songs along with traditional pieces from Ireland and Spain.

Doors are at 8pm and admission is priced at €10/€8.
