Future sounds of Berlin for LowerState The LowerState team are hosting yet another Irish debut this Friday, 11 July when they welcome Berlin-based tech-house artist Yapacc to De Burgo's.
Trumping his own ‘superfunkyabstracthouse’ sound, Yapacc's take on tech-house is quite unique with interweaving guitar drones, vocoded voice textures, organic analog-synth baselines blended with hippiespace psychedelics. He's toured everywhere from Tokyo to Tiflis, Gdansk and New York already this year. With releases on Perlon and the Cologne based We In Rhythm (WIR) label, support from the likes of Laurent Garnier and Ricardo Villalobos, and silent movie score collaborations with Brian Eno among others, his music is raising eyebrows in high places. Yapacc releases his first solo album 'Nirvana Beach' this July. A summary of a long period of creating music, the album mixes a modern club soundscheme with the psychedelic seventies and melodic eighties. Featuring vocals from Betti Synclar and Christina Wheeler, the album illustrates "There exists music away from the one-dimensional hitmonsters. Not pleasingness, but soul and truth. Every track has a special message you have to find out".
Admission is €10 and doors open at 10pm with support from LowerState's
