The first Over the Edge: Open Reading of 2007 takes place in Galway City Library, St. Augustine Street, Galway on Thursday, 25 January, from 6.30pm to 8pm.

The featured readers are Elaine Feeney, Mary Mullen and Todd Swift. The reading is a special occasion for co-organisers Susan Millar DuMars and Kevin Higgins, as it is the fourth anniversary of the series, which began in January 2003.

This poetry celebration will combine the diversity of the three poets. Elaine from Galway is a well known reader at festivals. She is described as 'fearless' in her confrontation with the conversational truth of women's lives in the new Ireland. Mary is an Alaskan-born writer who has lived in County Galway for the past decade.Todd is a Canadian-born author of three poetry collections. He currently lives in London.

There will be an open mike slot when the featured readers are finished. This is open to anyone who has a poem or story to share. New readers are especially welcome. Susan Millar DuMars will MC the night.
