Songwriter, comedian and filmmaker Emmet O'Malley takes to the stage at the Freedom Café this Thursday, 18 September at 6pm.

Emmet O'Malley has been performing solo for the last three years. He has a high-energy act, based around music and observations.

Between music and comedy, he has played in all the major venues in Ireland, including Vicar Street, Comedy Cellar, International Comedy Club, Laughter Lounge, City Limits Cork and Comedy Club at Cuba.

He has supported such names as Dom Irrera, Tommy Tiernan, Dara O'Briain, Colin Murphy and David McSavage. His first film 'Dignity' was screened at the 2006 Galway Film Fleadh and the most recent 'Secret Hiding Place' was recently premiered.

Emmet will be followed by Galway band, 'Message Blank'. While still incomplete as a band, this hard working group are showing great potential, with catchy, melodic tunes.

Admission is free.
