Local electronica collective Xklima play Nun's Island studios on Saturday 20 September to coincide with the release of their new album, 'Gravity Is Increasing'.

The concert will feature a combination of electronics and live performance from main members Mark Long and Ivan Murray, along with other special guests, while live visuals projected on a full sized cinema screen should make it a full on audiovisual experience.

Completely self-recorded and produced, 'Gravity Is Increasing' blends melodic electronica with vocals, guitar, bass and drums.

Xklima came to life in 2005 and since then have played locally in Project 06, Róisín Dubh, Bell Book & Candle and De Burgo's as well as playing abroad at the STFU electronica festival in Weimar, Germany and 'Nice n Sleazy's' in Glasgow.

Collaboration has been a strong feature of the Xklima project, with a number of talented musicians lending themselves to the mix for both gigs and recording.

Dates in Cork, Waterford, Dublin and Belfast to promote 'Gravity is Increasing' are in the offing while they are currently working on new tracks for the follow-up album.

'Gravity is Increasing' is available as pay to download from the Xklima website and there are tracks available for download at www.myspace.com/klimamusic.
