Albert Niland makes a rare trip back to Ireland from his Netherlands home for his only Irish tour of 2010.

In 2003, Niland released 'Dirty Day' to critical acclaim and not long after that his live solo acoustic recording of Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights' rose to prominence on the national airwaves.

In 2006, he left Ireland and started a busking trip that took him from Brittany to Norway. Along the way, he played and recorded a live album at the infamous Paradiso in Amsterdam and was invited by the French to perform at the old chanson 'L'Essaion Theatre' in Paris and at the International Guitar Festival. Albert was also invited to be a special guest player at two of the biggest reunions in Irish music history: Planxty in 2004 and Moving Hearts in 2007.

The talented guitarist and songwriter plays the Roisin Dubh on Tuesday 2 February.

Doors 9pm and tickets (€12.50/€10 members) are available now from the Roisin Dubh, Zhivago, Shop Street or www.roisindubh.net.
