Adventures in Music in conjunction with the National Concert Hall's 'Learn and Explore Programme' and the Town Hall Theatre presents 'Music Making for Families'.

This is one-day series of workshops for children and accompanying parents/adults in which they discover the world of music through songs, games and listening.

The workshops will be led by Nico Brown, (mandolin) leader of the NCH Education and Community Outreach sessions. Nico will be joined by Mary Curran (French Horn), founding member of the Whistleblast Quartet and Micheal Dooley, (bassoon) lecturer at the Municipal College of Music in Limerick and conductor of the Galway Youth Orchestra and the St Patrick's Brass Band.

This is a fun one-hour event for children and parents that will assist in the development of your child's appreciation of music. No prior musical experience required for children or parents.

It will take place on Saturday 7 June at Westside Library, Seamus Quirke Road.

Workshop 1: (6 months to 3 years) 10am to 11am.
Workshop 2: (3 years to 5 years) 11.30am to 12.30pm.
Workshop 3: (5 years to 8 years) 1pm to 2pm.

Tickets, €5 per person, are available from 091-569777.
