Tonight's Laughter Lounge at The Róisín Dubh sees Kevin McAleer, Michael Mee, Paddy Courtney and Padraic Staunton take to the stage at 9pm.

Kevin's latest comedy persona lives in a strange world of paranoid delusions, hallucinations and broken down language. His sense of humour is obscure, to say the least, but his intelligent and oft-times whimsical comedy is matched by superb timing, which will leave you in danger of wetting your seat! A farmer by choice, Kevin has also written a number of books and essays and is a regular contributor to newspapers and magazines in Northern Ireland. His take on the life and lifestyles of yesteryear, when compared with the frantic pace of modern living, has a deep resonance and is a mountain of hilarious comparisons.

Having established himself as a successful comedian and writer at home in Ireland, Michael Mee has recently moved to England to bring his intelligent, quick wit and talent for storytelling to the UK scene. He has performed at the Murphys Laughter Lounge, Dublin, City Limits, Cork, Galway Arts Festival and all the major venues in Ireland.

Paddy is resident MC in Dublin's 'Laughter Lounge'. Paddy's introduction to the stand up comedy world was at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, 1998, where he spent four weeks in the best of Irish show 'Just for the Craic'. When he appeared at the infamous Comedy Store, London, he was one of the very few Irish comedians immediately invited back.

There will be an open spot from Padraic Staunton.
