The Laughter Lounge at the Roisín Dubh presents a fabulous antipodean double bill with Mickey D (Australia), Al Pitcher (New Zealand) and an open spot from Kieran Lawless (NUIG Comedy Soc) tonight, Wednesday 17 January.

2706 Mickey D took his warm, cheeky and energetic brand of comedy to charm audiences at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. His boundless energy and infectious smile mean that he is sure to rub off on any audience. Al Pitcher presents a unique show. Al eclipses his peers with his interactive abilities, with his audience never quite knowing where he's taking them but seemingly thrilled by the journey.

Steve Cummins, who is currently working as a comedian and commentator on Newstalk, is renowned as Ireland's foremost MC. He will oversee the evening.

The Laughter Lounge will begin at 9.30pm (doors open at 9pm). Tickets are ?12.50 and ?10 to members.

DJ Dick-Northern Soul, Ska and a smathering of Indie classics, with a late bar, will follow the show. Free entry after 11.30pm.
