Musical comedian David McSavageheadlines the Laughter Lounge at the Roisín Dubh this Wednesday, 31 January. David McSavage is now well known figure on the comedy circuit with several performances at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival and the Kilkenny comedy festival. He is also well known for busking on Dublin's famous Grafton Street. With his extensive guitar playing skills he incorporates music into his funny man act. Supporting David on the night are Robbie Bonham and Guest MC Kevin Gildea. With an open spot from Sharon Mannion. Robbie Bonham has established himself as a hard hitter on the Irish comedy circuit with sell-out audience in the Empire Comedy Club in Belfast and in Vicar St. Dublin. He has been described as "quirky, zany, and, most importantly, funny" by Capital magazine. Guest MC Kevin Gildea, better known as Father Cave from Father Ted, has been described as "highly original", "explosively funny" and "challenging and provocative". He skips recklessly along that taut tightrope that separates comedy genius from criminal insanity. His mild manner and quirky absurdist viewpoint pave the way for side-splittingly funny ruminations. Tickets for this show, which kicks off at 9pm, are €12.50/€10 (members) on the door. DJ Monty will follow the comedy, with rock and Indie classics until late. |
