This week is the last chance to submit entries to either the Flosca Short Story Competition or Comórtas Filíochta Gaeilge.

So if you have an English language short story of less than 3,500 words or any Irish poems of less than 100 lines, visit the Flosca website to find out how to enter.

There is a prize fund of €1,000 for a short story, or €500 for an Irish poem, along with publication in the Flosca Prize-Winners' Chapbook, to be launched next Spring.
