Moving Still Productions brings 'Krapp's Last Tape' by Samuel Beckett to the Station House Theatre on the Friday 18 and Saturday 19 April at 8pm. The production was rehearsed and initially performed in the Moving Still Studio at Lough Fee, near Lettergesh, and has been invited to play in the James Joyce Centre in Dublin and the Town Hall Theatre in Galway. The Clifden performance is intended as the first in a series of professional productions to be mounted in the coming times by Moving Still. The director of the production is former RTÉ/TG4 Producer/Director, Art O Briain who has worked with all the major Irish theatre companies before he concentrated on television work in the 1980s. The part of Krapp is played by Fergus Cronin, who has worked with directors Jim Sheridan and Conall Morrison in earlier times. Cronin brings both a sharp intelligence and a wealth of experience to the tragic-comic role. The play is regarded by many as the most accessible of Beckett's plays. Admission is €10/€12. |
