Angelo Tsarouchas, Karl Spain and Paddy Courtney headline The Laughter Lounge at the Róisín Dubh tonight, Wednesday 15 August.
Angelo Tsarouchas is a heavyweight comedian who delivers knockout punch lines. Born in Montreal to Greek parents, Angelo’s personality fits perfectly with his 350-pound frame. Limerick’s Karl Spain is a man made famous by his demands on RTÉ’s ‘Karl Spain wants a Women’. Karl draws his inspiration from local experiences. He burst onto the comedy scene in 2000 by winning a newcomer competition on RTÉ and has since maintained a high standard of comical fun. Paddy’s introduction to the stand up comedy world was at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in 1998, where he spent four weeks in the best of Irish show ‘Just for the Craic’. ‘Controversial Courtney’, as he has been recently christened by Hot Press magazine, has also been described as a ‘Comedy Juggernaut’ by 3D Magazine. Tickets, which are €12.50, are available from the Róisín Dubh on Dominick street. Doors open at 9pm. |
