Creator of some of the most memorable characters to ever grace Irish TV screens, (Jake Stevens, The Dirty Auld Wan), the legendary PJ Gallagher headlines the Comedy Club at Cuba* this Sunday 17 August. This manic affable Dubliner shot to stardom on the hit RTE 2 series 'Naked Camera', where his hilarious hits on an unsuspecting public endeared him to both audiences and critics alike. Having just sold out a five-night run in Vicar St, PJ comes to Galway in scintillating form. His live shows are not for the faint hearted as this madcap ball of energy skips nimbly between the lines of high-octane comedian and escaped mental patient. Fast, frenetic and furious this is an ideal opportunity to catch a comic at the peak of his powers in an intimate setting. Giles Brody provides the perfect antidote as support and Gerry Mallon is the host and MC. Tickets, €12.50 are available in advance at Bar 903,the Cellar Bar and at the door which opens at 8.30pm. |
