Andy Irvine and his Australian friends will play in The Crane Bar on Sea Road tomorrow, Thursday 24 July, at 9pm.

August 2004 saw the inaugural Irish tour of this event. Andy toured with James Fagan and Nancy Kerr and Kate Burke and Ruth Hazleton to great acclaim. Last year Andy toured with The Wise Family Band from Western Australia and now it's time for the return of James and Nancy and Kate and Ruth, this time supplemented with the fiddle playing and singing of Adrian Barker.

Nancy Kerr (fiddle, viola and vocal) and her partner James Fagan (bouzouki and vocal) play a scintillating mix of traditional and contemporary acoustic music drawn mostly from the English and Australian/Irish traditions. They are renowned for their beautiful instrumentals, strong harmony singing, original arrangements and their love of live performance. Nancy Kerr is widely regarded as one of the great folk fiddlers of her generation, while James Fagan's dynamic accompaniment and tuneful voice are widely appreciated.

Kate Burke (guitar, fiddle and vocal) and Ruth Hazleton (guitar, five string banjo and vocal) are one of Australia's most exciting young folk acts. Since 1998, their trademark interpretations have won them international acclaim. Their material draws on the music of Australia, UK, Ireland and America, coupled with contemporary song writing. Musically captivating, warm and humorous, they have won the support of audiences in Australia, Ireland and UK.

Tickets, €22.50, are available from The Crane Bar on Sea Road.
