Shannonside rockers The Last of the Fire Kings play Sally Longs this week. The Limerick-based trio (Ollie Malone on guitar and vocals, drummer Ross Cregan and Mikey Dooley on bass) take musical influences from Punk, Jazz, Funk, Metal and R&B.

They have no set formula with their music; they just write songs and people to sing along, rock along and dance along to. With a simple philosophy of just wanting to create good music and for it to reach as many ears as possible, the band approach every gig as their biggest yet, and always strive to entertain their audiences.

The Last of the Fire Kings play Sally Longs on Friday 27 March at 10pm.
