Lars and The Real Girl
Rating: 12A In this comedy, Lars Lindstrom is an awkwardly shy young man in a small northern town who finally brings home the girl of his dreams to his brother and sister-in-law's home. The only problem is that she's not real - she's a sex doll Lars ordered off the internet. But sex is not what Lars has in mind, but rather a deep, meaningful relationship. His sister-in-law is worried for him, his brother thinks he's nuts, but eventually the entire town goes along with his delusion in support of this sweet natured boy that they've always loved. 'The search for true love begins outside the box!' Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
Rating: 16 Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay stars John Cho as Harold and Kal Penn as Kumar, two stoners who can't seem to get a break. Their last adventure found them travelling across country to find a White Castle hamburger in order to satisfy a weed-induced case of 'the munchies'. Having returned from their journey to find a White Castle hamburger joint in Cherry Hill, Harold and Kumar are getting ready for their next big adventure: a trip to Amsterdam to track down Harold's would-be girlfriend, Maria (Paula Garcés). Their problems begin at the airport, where Kumar protests when he's pulled aside at the security checkpoint for a 'random' search. Later, before boarding their plane, the duo encounters Kumar's ex-girlfriend, Vanessa (Danneel Harris), and her fiancé, right-wing bigwig Colton (Eric Winter). Somehow in between chaos and stupidity, the two doubtful heroes land themselves in the maximum security strong hold that is Guantanamo Bay. 'This time they're running from the joint.' |
