Comedy improv makes a welcome return to a Galway next Wednesday, 10 February when Irish and UK comics Ian Coppinger, Joe Rooney, Paul Tylak and Stephen Frost take to the stage in The Laughter Lounge. ![]() Willed on by a supportive crowd, through improvisation they create whole sketches and comic dramas that are amazingly inventive and sometimes take off into flights of surreal brilliance. Comedy without a safety net, it's guerrilla theatre and very funny. Special guest Stephen Frost will be well known to Galway comedy audiences for his recent trips west with Phill Jupitus. A veteran of the alternative comedy scene, Stephen appeared regularly in 'The Young Ones' and has appeared many times in the improvisation show 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' He has also appeared on a few episodes of 'Have I Got News For You' and on 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks'. Doors 8.30pm and tickets (€15/€10 online) are available from the Roisin Dubh, Zhivago Shop Street or www.roisindubh.net. |
